Comments Off on Nancy Guthrie buried under the property of 1976 bus kidnapper Frederick Woods? ‘Investigator’ shares shocking claims

A man claims to know where Nancy Guthrie was buried. The shocking claims were made on YouTube by Richard Alvey and shared by self-proclaimed investigator Jonathan Lee Riches, or JLR.

“This man claims he knows where Nancy Guthrie is buried. Claims she is buried on land occupied by Frederick Woods of Nipomo california,” Jaguar Land Rover wrote on X.

The claims come even as authorities continue to search for the 84-year-old Today show host’s mother. Savannah GuthrieShe was reported missing by her family on February 1. Notably, authorities are still treating it as a kidnapping case and have not shared information about Guthrie’s death with the public.

This is what Alvi claimed in his video.

“Nancy Guthrie was buried in the beautiful lawn…”

In a clip released today that’s just over four minutes long, Alvey claims to know where Nancy Guthrie is buried.

According to the video, Nancy Guthrie was “buried on the beautiful lawn.” Later in the comments, he said the correct address was 1675 Scenic Drive, Nipomo, California.

Notably, Guthrie was taken from her home in the Catalina Foothills of Tucson, Arizona, more than 700 miles away.

“You can’t walk directly to her grave. The enclosed compound is surrounded by a recently installed barbed wire fence,” Alvi continued. “This property is an oasis in the mountains in the middle of a barren desert,” he said, adding, “Nancy is truly buried in nature.”

Alvey further stated that the “owner” of the property was Fred Woods, “who was recently paroled for kidnapping and burying 26 children alive.” He also claimed that Woods lived in “the same geographic area” as Nancy Guthrie.

Fact-checking Richard Alvey’s wild claims

First, there is no confirmation that Nancy Guthrie is actually dead. Alvey himself noted in his comments that this is just a “theory.”

“I’ve tried three or four times. Once they determined it was a theory, they cut off and hung up,” he said when asked why he didn’t contact the FBI about the information.

It was reported that Frederick Woods or Fred Woods did own a property in Nipomo, California, but he was not in the same geographic area as Nancy Guthrie, proving Alvey’s claims wrong.

Additionally, Alvey’s theory appears to be based on the wording in the ransom note, “Nancy Guthrie is buried in nature.” This note, along with two others sent at the same time, were proven false by the FBI. Alvey has long tried to link Frederick Woods to the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping and has confirmed video There have been attempts to advance this theory in the past.

However, after Frederick Woods was paroled, authorities did not in any way implicate him in the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping. Therefore, not only are Alvey’s claims about Nancy Guthrie’s death and burial unsubstantiated, but the claims about Wu’s involvement are also unsupported by any evidence.

What do you need to know about Frederick Woods?

On July 15, 1976, a carload of children ages 5 to 14 and their school bus driver, Ed Ray (55 years old at the time), were abducted in Chowchilla, California. The victims were transported in two vans for 11 hours before being loaded into a moving van and buried in the Livermore Quarry.

After spending 16 hours underground, the two older children and the bus driver managed to escape by digging themselves out using only their hands. The quarry belonged to Frederick Nickerson Woods. His son, Fred Newhall Woods IV, is missing. Authorities began searching for Woods and two of his friends, James Schoenfeld and his brother Richard Schoenfeld. They also found a draft of a $5 million ransom at the Woods estate.

While Richard voluntarily surrendered, Woods was arrested in Vancouver, British Columbia, and James was reportedly arrested as he prepared to surrender. Although the three were sentenced to life in prison, they were paroled in 2022.

Who is Richard Alvey?

Little is known about Alvey. He started his YouTube channel on July 21, 2016. The channel has 566 subscribers. Alvey has spoken out about the Chowchilla bus kidnapping in the past and posted multiple videos on his channel sharing his theory.

However, his theory about Nancy Guthrie does not appear to be correct in any way. When Jaguar Land Rover shared Alvey’s claims, many of his fans on the X were also skeptical. “WHAT!!!! Why did it take him five months to come out. He just wanted his 15 minutes of fame,” one wrote. other additional “Don’t listen to this man’s nonsense until you research who he is.” Another scathing one exclaim “He knew the dizzying squat.”
