Retired agent says FBI is hunting ‘porch guy’

Retired FBI Special Agent Maureen O’Connell retired in 2016 after 25 years with the FBI. She said federal investigators appear to be closing in on the man seen on the porch in the Nancy Guthrie case.

O’Connell revealed that her sources told her that the FBI was very close to arresting the man on the porch, she said in an interview. Megyn Kelly Interview.

“I think they’re getting close to solving the case now, that’s what my sources are telling me,” she revealed. “Things are happening.”

Mekin asked O’Connell to explain in detail why she said they were about to make an arrest. “I think they’re approaching people on the porch,” she replied. “When they find the person on the porch, the floodgates open.”

When asked about her “level of confidence in this,” O’Connell gave a “75 percent” answer.

O’Connell said authorities are now getting closer, and “one of the reasons it’s taken so long is… from day one… literally everything you do is geared toward trial and prosecution,” she explained.

“If you’re going to have the best defense attorneys in the world working on this case, whoever takes the case, you have to assume that several chunks of your evidence are going to be thrown out. You have to put together a case in such a way that it can withstand losing some of that evidence, depending on how you obtained it or how likely it is that they’re going to be thrown out.”

“So, I think they’re just looking at a lot of other evidence that further supports them, but I think we’re getting closer. I actually do think they’re getting closer,” she added.
