jameson dies
Jameson was shot when police responded to a report of a woman screaming at their home. However, the screams came not from any danger, but from the excitement of the New York Knicks winning the 2026 NBA Finals.
Los Angeles Police Department officers arrived at the complex and spoke with Jameson’s owner, Mary Massey, asking her to protect the dog. When she closed and reopened the door, 2.1⁄2-year-old Kim St. Bernard Doodle walked out of the apartment. Police said the dog charged at an officer. prompting them to shoot.
Mary previously told the Hindustan Times, “I don’t remember him barking. I really don’t remember. Jameson doesn’t bark when someone rings the doorbell or knocks on our door. It all happens in a matter of seconds. I was home alone with Jameson and my two cats when I responded to a noise complaint for the police. Jameson slipped out from between my legs and within seconds, he was gone.”
“Within seconds, my life changed forever,” the heartbroken dog mom added.
