The article described Owens as “the victim of an alleged hate crime in which the mayor’s son was a suspect” and said she was arrested after “sending threatening messages from Facebook.”
“Stamford Police Officer Joseph Kennedy said Owens allegedly sent a digital message to another person’s account threatening physical harm,” the article reads.
The article was headlined “Alleged Hate Crime Victim Arrested on Harassment Charges.”
According to CTPost and News-Times reports in 2007, Owens was charged with second-degree harassment and second-degree menacing. However, court records do not show a conviction. HT.com has not independently verified this information.

Loomer added: “You are a malicious liar and you will be held accountable in court.”
