Meanwhile, the National Weather Service in Jackson issued a state of emergency for Bude, Meadville, McCall Creek, Brookhaven and Bogue Chitto. The warning was issued after a confirmed damaging tornado was observed near Meadville at around 7:09 p.m., moving east at 50 mph.
