ICE arrested Rinkeshkumar Kaushikbhai Patel, an illegal immigrant from India who was convicted of conspiracy to commit larceny in Bradley County, Tennessee. Both ICE and the Department of Homeland Security shared the news on X.
“In total, more than $60,000 was stolen,” ICE revealed on X. “Patel was sentenced to six years in prison, but his sentence was suspended less than a year later. ICE took him into custody from the Bradley County Jail and will hold him pending deportation proceedings.”

At the time, the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office claimed that victims lost more than $250,000 through Bitcoin transfers and cash collections. The incident is believed to be linked to a larger fraud network.
Patel was reportedly arrested by investigators while trying to collect more money from the victims. However, the ICE statement only mentioned thefts in excess of $60,000. It is unclear whether the initially reported charges resulted in reduced charges in the legal proceedings.
