According to the New York Post, one of the men in the doorbell camera video, 30-year-old Jason Nichols, was pacing outside the house and questioning the homeowner through the ring camera. He quickly became very aggressive.

What does the video show?

Nichols is initially heard asking if he could open the door and if everything was okay. Later, he began questioning the resident doctor’s daughter.

The homeowner was not there at the time and asked him to go away. That’s when Nichols allegedly snapped. He began knocking on the door, ripping off the doorbell and making threats. He also tried to kick the front door open.

The man’s wife and daughter were home when Nichols showed up, according to authorities.

“The homeowner’s husband, who was away at the time, observed the suspect through his home security camera and immediately returned to the residence,” authorities said in a statement.

Police said Nichols slipped into the home through a sliding glass door after being unable to gain entry through the front door. The terrified family remained inside.
