Reddit is currently down for users across the United States, with thousands reporting “You broke Reddit” error messages. The outage disrupted browsing, publishing and other site functions, leaving users searching for fixes.

DownDetector Report
Reports of the outage began around 2:45 p.m. ET on Monday, according to DownDetector. As of 3 p.m., the site had received more than 15,000 reports. User representation Reddit Applications and websites are affected.
One user reported, “I can only comment on my own posts but cannot change the style of sub-posts that allow this.”
Another wrote: “It just fell apart.”
A third commented: “Oh great. Thought I was finally banned.”
Another user wrote: “I uploaded a video and wanted to watch it but it disappeared from the profile.”
Another user added, “I’m using the browser version on my laptop. As of now, the images won’t load and I can’t downvote. Whenever I try to do anything, it says ‘Error 500: Internal Server Error.'”
One user complained: “Start page cannot load more than three posts.”
One person wrote: “Of course reddit crashed when I tried to edit. Hmm.”
Reddit has yet to respond to the outage report.
