Nagpur: A four-year-old boy was accidentally locked in a school classroom in Kapakkheda, Nagpur overnight, triggering panic among his family. Soumitra Bose reports that Himanshu Bagde, who lives just half a kilometer from the school, slipped into the classroom while playing on Wednesday, unaware that staff would then lock the classroom without checking the room. When Himanshu did not return home, his father filed a missing complaint. Police launched multiple search operations across the city but have yet to find his whereabouts. The breakthrough came when school staff visited the campus around 10 a.m. Thursday. Himanshu was found asleep in a locked classroom. The boy was immediately reunited with his parents. It was a lucky escape for the boy as it was the school holidays and staff were at the school just to supervise some ongoing building works.
