‘You’ve become scared’: AAP hits back after Raghav Chadha takes direct attack on leadership

New Delhi: am admi party launched a fierce attack on its federal parliament members on Friday Raghav Chadha It comes after he broke his silence over his removal as deputy leader of the upper house, accusing him of being hesitant to take on the BJP and raising “soft” issues rather than confronting the government.AAP MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj in a video message directly criticized Chadha’s recent stance and behavior, saying, “Raghav bhai, I just watched your video. All of us are Arvind Kejriwal Ji, we learned only one thing: He who gets scared is doomed. Our aim is to raise people’s issues by looking directly into the government’s eyes. “He further accused Chadha of avoiding confrontation with the Center and remaining silent on key issues, adding that those questioning the government were being suppressed. “In the past few days, we have seen that anyone who raises serious questions about the government, questions the government or speaks out for the people is treated like a dictatorship. They are banned from social media, whether it’s Twitter, Facebook or YouTube. An FIR is being filed and a case is being registered. “Bharadwaj also questioned Chadha’s role in Parliament and his absence on major political issues. “Whenever something goes wrong and the opposition withdraws, you don’t go on strike. In the last few years, I have not seen you raising any issue in Parliament, questioning the Prime Minister or the BJP government. How can the politics of fear work like this?”He added that despite being elected from Punjab, Chadha did not speak on issues related to Punjab and criticized his absence at a crucial time when party leaders including Arvind Kejriwal were facing legal troubles. “You were not even in the country when many of our leaders were in jail and Chief Minister Arvind Kejrivarji was arrested on false cases.”AAP media chief Anurag Dhanda echoed similar sentiments in a post on You are hesitant to go against Modi. You hesitate to talk about the real problems in this country. “The party’s strong reaction came hours after Chadha publicly responded to his removal and said he had been sidelined. “Silence, not defeat. My message to ‘aam aadmi’ is: Khamosh Karwaya Gaya Hun, Hara Nahi Hun. ‘Aam Aadmi Ko Mera Sandesh,” he wrote on X.In a video message, Chadha questioned the party’s decision and said he has been raising issues involving ordinary citizens in Parliament. “Whenever I get an opportunity to speak in Parliament, I raise issues that are relevant to the people. I raise topics that are not usually discussed. Is it a crime to speak on public issues? Have I made any mistake or done anything wrong?” he asked. He further claimed that the party had written to the Federal House Secretariat to prevent him from speaking. “AAP said Raghav Chadha should not be given an opportunity to speak. Why are people trying to stop me from speaking in Parliament? ” he said.Listing the issues he raised, Chadha said he touched on concerns such as the conditions of delivery workers, high food prices at airports, food adulteration, tolls, taxes on the middle class and telecom recharge practices. “I raised these issues and people benefited from it. What loss did AAP suffer because of this? Why did anyone stop me from speaking?” he added. He thanked the public for their support, saying: “You have given me tremendous love. I appreciate your support and encouragement. Keep supporting me – I come from you and I serve you.”He concluded by saying, “Don’t mistake my silence for failure. I am like a river that turns into a flood when the time comes. Jai Hind.”The party on Thursday appointed Punjab MP Ashok Mittal to replace Chadha as deputy leader of the House of Representatives and formalized the change through communication with the secretariat. Sanjay Singh continues to serve as the party’s upper house leader. The development comes amid signs of tension between Chadha and the party leadership and speculation about his future political course, especially ahead of the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections.
