Social media posts claim Florida rapperYNW Melly, is currently in jail on two first-degree charges murder The charges allege that he was stabbed “32 times” in prison. The post stated that the incident occurred during a fight and the suspect took out a machete and stabbed the 26-year-old man. “His condition is currently unknown,” the post said.

Ht.com can confirm that this claim is false. YNW Melly, whose real name is Jamell Maurice Demons, was not stabbed in prison. A similar hoax about the rapper went viral and was debunked in 2021.

The post originated from the X account @TommyGoBrazy on Wednesday. As of this writing, the message has been viewed more than 297,000 times, making the statement go viral.

YNW Melly is being held at the Broward County Jail in Fort Lauderdale, Floridawho is awaiting retrial on double murder charges. In February 2019, he was arrested on double murder charges.

YNW Melly was arrested in 2019 for the October 2018 shooting deaths of YNW crew members Anthony “YNW Sakchaser” Williams and Christopher “YNW Juvy” Thomas Jr. and is now in prison. He also faces charges for portraying the crime scene as a drive-by shooting.

His first trial ended in a mistrial in 2023 due to a deadlocked jury. He remains jailed without bail pending a retrial, with prosecutors seeking the death penalty. The rapper was held in the Broward County Jail in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for much of his arrest.

Some reports say he was briefly transferred to the Paul Rhine Detention Facility in Pompano Beach, Florida.
