X (Twitter) users reported issues with the platform, with many saying posts weren’t loading and timelines weren’t refreshing.
According to DownDetector, reports of outages started appearing around 5:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, with more than 4,000 reports logged as of 5:40 p.m.
Users shared their dissatisfaction on other platforms.
One user joked, “Twitter is an app that (allegedly) works.”
Another added, “Twitter was much better before Elon bought it. It was outageing less frequently.”
A third wrote: “I just want to keep track of my own profile and it’s asking too much. Why aren’t my own tweets loading.”
Another person wrote: “Alas no one’s posts are showing up on their account or even mine.”
One user said, “The World Cup shut down Twitter. Crazy boring game can do that.”
X has not issued a statement regarding the reported outage.
