The family expressed deep sadness and overwhelming grief, confirming the tragic death of their “beloved daughter in the recent terrorist attack” in the United States. “She was 21 years old and our only child. Our hearts are broken beyond words,” Savitha’s parents said.

The incident happened around 2 a.m. Sunday outside Buford’s Backyard Beer Garden, a bar frequented by college students near the university campus.
