William Hilton Paul, son of Senator Rand Paul Kentucky Rep. Mike Lawler reportedly directed anti-Semitic and homophobic remarks at New York Rep. Mike Lawler. According to reports, the incident occurred in washington d.c. Tuesday bar. Paul reportedly said iran is It’s “about gays and Jews, I hate both of them and I don’t care if they die” according to New York Post.

Lawler told the publication that he was at the bar with a friend and NOTUS reporter when the William Paul incident occurred. “So Rand Paul’s son was sitting next to us at the bar…and he just liked to butt in on our conversation and get drunk and belligerent and start talking nonsense, you know, if [Rep. Thomas] Massy [R-Ky.] lose [his primary]”It’s because of my people,” Lawler said, according to The Washington Post. “I thought, ‘What people?’ He said, ‘Jewish,’ and I said, ‘Do you think I’m Jewish? … I’m an Irish-Italian Catholic, man,” he reportedly added.

- William Hilton Paul was born on January 28, 1993 in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
- Paul has a sibling, Duncan Paul, and his grandfather, Ron Paul, was a Texas representative. His parents are Rand Paul and Kelly Ashby Paul.
- Paul attended the University of Kentucky (Lexington) with a bachelor’s degree in communication and information studies and political science. He belongs to the Kappa Sigma fraternity.
- According to Legistorm, Paul worked as a digital creator for Georgia Rep. Mike Collins and as a digital communications assistant for West Virginia Rep. Alex Mooney. Prior to that, he was digital communications manager for the conservative organization FreedomWorks Inc. Paul also served as a federal affairs associate for Americans for Tax Reform.

“Last night, I drank too much and said things that did not represent who I am. I am sorry and today I am seeking help for my drinking problem,” he wrote. Representatives for Sen. Rand Paul have not yet commented on the matter.
