President Donald Trump abruptly stopped his interview with NBC News’ Kristen Welker on Friday after discussing his baseless accusations that California’s gubernatorial primary was “rigged.”
The June 7 episode of NBC’s “Meet the Press” escalated after Trump reiterated his baseless accusations that the 2020 presidential election was rigged, claiming “it’s happening again” in California.
The interview was recorded on June 5 during Trump’s trip to Wisconsin to attend the Agriculture Roundtable. NBC reported that the sit-down was intended to address Trump’s domestic and international policy topics, such as the administration’s legal agenda, immigration, Iran and the economy.
