Former US Attorney General Pam Bondi has returned to Washington, D.C., with a visible bandage around her neck following recent medical treatment. Thyroid cancerAccording to the US “Mirror” report. Bundy was seen entering the Capitol building with bandages clearly visible under her open-collared shirt, drawing attention as she re-entered the capital for the first time since she was reportedly undergoing treatment.
Bundy’s visit comes ahead of a scheduled interview with the House Oversight Committee, which is reviewing how federal authorities handled the Epstein case.
Lawmakers previously voted in March to subpoena Bundy as part of the investigation. The original plan called for formal testimony to be taken under oath and recorded as a public record.

However, the process has since been curtailed. Bundy will now participate in transcribed interviews rather than testify under oath. This form does not require an oath or video recording.
The committee’s broader investigation also includes plans to reach out to Epstein survivors as lawmakers continue to review past handling of the case.
Bundy’s return follows reports that she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer shortly after leaving the Justice Department. Axios cited sources as saying she underwent surgery and has been recovering in recent weeks.
She is said to be “doing well” after receiving treatment, according to a source familiar with the matter.
Her re-emergence marks a noteworthy moment as she continues her recovery while returning to a high-profile political environment.

While returning to Washington, Bondi was also appointed to the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, an advisory group focused on artificial intelligence led by David Sacks and Michael Kratsios.
The group includes more than a dozen technology executives, according to Axios.
Vice President J.D. Vance praised her continued role in her administration-related work, saying in a statement that “Pam is an extremely valuable asset to the President’s team” and expressing support for her continued participation in policy discussions.
Bundy was previously outstanding defender President Donald Trump and served at the Justice Department during his administration. According to the Associated Press, Bondi once strongly defended the government amid criticism of the investigation and political disputes.
