Who is Ndiaga Diagne? Laura Loomer reveals identity of suspect in Austin Buford bar shooting

Far-right influencer Laura Loomer claims to have identified the suspect in the 2017 Buford backyard beer garden shooting. austinTexas, early Sunday morning. As of now, the FBI has not identified the suspect but is investigating it as a potential act of terrorism.

In one, Loomer claimed the shooter was Ndiaga Diagne, who she said was a naturalized citizen of Senegal. also. The New York Post also claimed that the shooter was Diagne, 53 years old.

As of now, no other sources have confirmed the identity of the shooter. The suspect was shot to death by law enforcement officers after killing two people and injuring at least 14 others.

According to Austin Police Chief Lisa David, the suspect was driving a large SUV. He drove around the bars on West Sixth Street and finally stopped in front of Buford’s Bar. He turned on the SUV’s hazard lights, pulled out his gun and started shooting.

The shooting occurred around 2 a.m. local time on Sunday.

Terrorism and alleged Iran links

Alex Dolan, the special agent in charge of the FBI’s Austin office, said there were “indications” the shooting may have been an act of terrorism. However, Dolan added that “it is too early to make a decision.”

The New York Post reported, citing sources familiar with the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force investigation, that the shooter may have been motivated by the death of Iran’s late supreme leader. Ayatollah Ali KhameneiOn Saturday, the United States and Israel launched a joint attack on the country.

The New York Times report again cited sources who said the suspect had a Quran in his car and other belongings in the car, suggesting it may have been motivated by terrorism. They said the suspect had a history of arrests and lived briefly in New York in the early 2000s.
