Pathologist Michael Baden hired by JAvery Epstein The family sparked controversy as they watched his official autopsy claim the death was likely a homicide.

The senior doctor told The Telegraph that the late financier’s body had marks more consistent with strangulation than suicide. Epstein died in his cell at a Manhattan jail on August 10, 2019, while awaiting trial. His death was officially ruled a suicide.
However, Baden, who was present at Epstein’s autopsy, is one of many who have questioned the official ruling that Epstein’s death was a suicide. Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Baden said he observed many injury patterns not seen in suicides, such as multiple neck fractures.

Michael Baden is an American Forensic Pathologist known for his role in high-profile investigations including the O.J. Simpson case, the JFK assassination, the Michael Brown shooting and, of course, the death of Jeffrey Epstein. His website says he has performed more than 20,000 autopsies. Baden organizer HBO autopsy series, and has taught at institutions such as the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and John Jay College.

In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, Michael Baden claimed Epstein suffered multiple fractures in his neck: one in the hyoid bone and two in the thyroid cartilage. Baden claimed that these three fractures were not seen in suicide cases by hanging and had never been witnessed in his long career.
He claimed the injuries were more consistent with strangulation rather than suicide by hanging. He noted that some evidence on Epstein’s body may have been tampered with due to improper handling of the body, raising further suspicion.
