Ashley Jackson is the youngest daughter of the late Rev. Jesse Jackson, a famous American civil rights activist who died last month at the age of 84.

Ashley was born on May 18, 1999, the daughter of Pastor Jackson and Karin Stanford, a former staff member in the Washington, D.C. office of the Rainbow Initiative.
Pastor Jackson publicly acknowledged Ashley in 2001, saying: “This is not the time to run away, deny or be absent. I take full responsibility and I am deeply sorry for my actions.”
He added, “He has taken on responsibility for her emotional and financial support since her birth.”
“Just like her mother, I love this child very much,” he added. “I was born into this situation and I know the importance of growing up in a nurturing, supportive and protective environment. Therefore, I am determined to give my daughter and her mother the privacy they deserve.”
Ashley Jackson is Pastor Jackson’s sixth child. She has built her career in the entertainment and advocacy fields, describing herself as a writer, producer, actress and influencer leader.
Her educational background includes graduating from Spelman College in 2020 and joining Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.
She is currently enrolled in USC’s Class of 2025 Peter Stark Producing Program and serves as a staff writer on Netflix’s upcoming reboot of Elseworlds.
