Riverfront Live owner Tim Jordan said he was pleased an arrest had been made in the shooting. However, he added that he didn’t know how the gun got inside and was re-evaluating security measures and the types of events his venue would host in the future.
“I think it’s amazing how quickly they worked and how quickly they were able to find them and arrest them so quickly,” Jordan told FOX19 NOW. “I want to know more.”

Jordan further said the incident appeared to stem from a previous dispute between those involved.
“From what I’ve heard from people, this is an argument these people are having outside of the institution,” he said. “They knew each other before that night. As far as I know, it’s an ongoing dispute.”
The venue was hosting a 21 and over event at the time of the shooting. Jordan said he didn’t know how the gun was brought into the venue.
“Believe me, we’re trying to figure it out,” he said. “We will be carefully reviewing the types of incidents that we have.”
All nine victims are currently in stable condition, police said. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
