The suspects, identified as Amanda Tom, 25, and Muhamad Tarik Hussein, 23, were booked for negligent discharge of a firearm, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

“During the course of the investigation, police learned that a vehicle with two occupants drove through a residence around the time of the possible shooting. Special Investigations Division (SID) investigators took over the investigation and determined that the vehicle belonged to Amanda Tom, 25, of San Francisco,” the release states.
The statement added, “Police responded to the 2000 block of Taylor Street and took Tom and 23-year-old Muhammad Tariq Hussein into custody without incident. A search warrant was issued for the residence and police located and seized three firearms. Investigators developed probable cause to arrest Amanda Tom and Muhammad Hussein.”

Both suspects were transported to the San Francisco County Jail.
“SFPD takes crimes involving firearms extremely seriously, and anyone who commits such an act will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” said Chief Derrick Lew. “I want to thank our officers for their quick action in identifying these suspects, taking them into custody, and removing dangerous weapons from our streets.”
