Elon Musk’s mother, Maye Musk, has given a rare glimpse into her son’s living conditions in Boca Chica, Texas. Responding to a post about the tech billionaire’s minimalist lifestyle, she shared specific details of her recent stay at his residence. Her description of the home’s humble interior sparked a discussion about the billionaire’s unconventional family lifestyle.

The image depicts a highly minimalist, open-plan living and kitchen area with a simple setting. The kitchen features white cabinets, stainless steel refrigerator, stove and farmhouse sink. There is a rocket-shaped sculpture in the foreground, possibly a reference to space exploration technology corp.placed on a dark wood coffee table. Next to it is a katana and some books.
A simple dining table can be seen, with a black jacket draped over one of the chairs. A window above the sink illuminates the room, but the walls are mostly bare and the furniture is utilitarian.
There were no rugs (except for a small textured rug under the table), heavy curtains or ornate light fixtures. A door leading to another room is also visible in the image.
Retweeting she shared, “No food in the fridge.” She added, “The garage where I sleep is on the right. There was only one towel in the shower so I left that Elon. That’s no problem for me. “

One person wrote: “The fewer material things you own, the easier it is to focus on the things that really matter. Many possessions quietly take up time, attention, and mental energy that could be used on more important things. In many cases, material items are designed to constantly compete for your attention and drain you of the energy you need to function properly. I think Elon Musk understands this very, very well.”
