Police are looking for the man in a video circulating on social media who reportedly stalked children in Fredericksburg, Virginia, last week. According to the New York Post, the man almost grabbed a little girl.

Fredericksburg Police Department Shared the update in a Facebook postwrote, “On Thursday, May 14, 2026 at approximately 4:30 p.m., the Fredericksburg E-911 Center received a report of suspicious activity in the Lafayette Avenue hallway. The suspect (pictured) is described as wearing pink clothing and had reportedly been stalking children.

Incident triggers panic
The One X host said the figure “crossed the street and began chasing all four children and grabbed the youngest girl.”
Worried netizens took to the comments section, with one writing: “Wow! Why don’t people stop and help these kids? I’ve been worried about the vulnerable deaf, mute and autistic kids.” “There are many, many creepy people out there. What is he going to do to the kids?” one user wrote, while another said: “What level of hell have we just fallen into.”
“I imagine many child trafficking routes etc. have been shut down by the current administration so they have to resort to desperate tactics,” one user wrote, while another said: “Hard to imagine this pervert hasn’t been arrested yet.” One wrote: “This is what happens when a governor condones lawlessness and the attorney general has no moral compass.”

A local resident shared a photo of the man dressed in pink on Facebook, saying he was “staring at my son and an elderly neighbor from across the road.” The resident added that the children said the person had a hole in his clothing near his eye and that the person looked like a man.
"There was facial hair and his skin tone appeared to be tan," Post explain.
