USA Today confirmed on Monday that the long-delayed “Trump Phone” has finally begun shipping to customers.
Trump Mobile confirmed this week that deliveries of its gold T1 smartphone have begun, after repeated delays pushed the phone’s release well beyond its original 2025 launch target.
Debut “Trump Mobile” was announced last summer by the Trump Organization, the holding company for President Donald Trump’s business activities. According to USA Today , the film was originally scheduled to be released in August, but was later postponed to October.

Trump Mobile says the gold T1 phone features a 6.78-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, triple camera setup and 5,000mAh battery. According to its website, the phone will run the Android operating system.
Reuters reports that the phone recently received FCC certification and compatibility approval required for use on U.S. networks. American-made phones and call centers will be part of the service.
There is a $100 deposit required to order the phone, and the introductory price is $499.
In addition to device protection, Plan 47 will offer unlimited talk, text, data, and nationwide coverage on U.S. networks. According to its website, the plan costs $47.45 per month.

this T1 phone Its rollout has been fraught with controversy for months.
According to Reuters, the device was initially marketed as a low-cost smartphone made in the United States. However, due to the lack of smartphone manufacturing infrastructure in the United States, industry analysts questioned whether such manufacturing was realistic at the announced price points, and the company later softened some of those claims.
edge and cbs News reports say Trump Mobile now says the first batch of phones are “assembled” in the United States, rather than being manufactured entirely domestically. CEO Pat O’Brien reportedly said future models will use “predominantly American-made components.”
Lawmakers and ethics experts also raised questions about the release because it used Trump’s name while the president was still in office, Reuters reported. Democrats raised concerns about possible conflicts of interest, raising questions about T-Mobile and opening a new tab on its ties to Trump-branded services.
The issue was put to rest after a White House official said there was no conflict of interest and that President Trump’s children were responsible for managing his assets.
Additionally, the booking process itself sparked backlash after Trump Mobile updated its terms and conditions earlier this year. Fortune reports that the revised pre-order statement states that a customer deposit “does not guarantee that the device will be produced or available for purchase.”
According to People magazine, some buyers have complained publicly that they have received little communication for months despite paying nearly a year ago.
However, after months of speculation, CEO Pat O’Brien told Reuters and USA Today on Monday that pre-order customers will start receiving devices “this week” and remaining orders will be filled in the coming weeks.
