A member of King Charles III’s ceremonial artillery died after falling from his horse during the Royal Windsor Horse Show on Friday night.The soldier, who served in the Royal Horse Artillery, collapsed after leaving the arena at around 7pm BST, the BBC reported. Despite immediate medical attention, they suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.Thames Valley Police said the death was being treated as “unexplained but not suspicious” and confirmed there was no evidence of foul play.The investigation is being co-ordinated with the Ministry of Defense and Royal Windsor Horse Show event organizers.A Buckingham Palace spokesman said King Charles was “extremely shocked and saddened” by the news and would offer his personal condolences to the soldier’s family, the BBC reported.Members of the royal family attended the event but were not informed of the seriousness of the incident until later.The Army also issued a statement expressing its deep regret and sympathy, while confirming that the soldier’s family had been notified.Organizers said the show will go ahead as planned, but the display of the King’s Army has been removed from the show.Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward as inquiries into what happened continue.
