Roger “Metronade” Moore, a popular content creator known for his hilarious skits and gaming videos, has reportedly died at the age of 23. His family and friends shared the heartbreaking news in an Instagram post, saying Moore passed away in an accident on Monday, May 11. The sudden news shocked many fans who follow his videos on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Twitch. Metronade has built a strong online community through comedy videos, anime content, gaming clips, and movie skits that often touch on real-life struggles. While many knew him for making others laugh, his loved ones said he also wanted people to feel understood through his work. Over the years, he has gained over 644,000 followers on Instagram, 1.3 million followers on TikTok, and over 181,000 subscribers on YouTube.In addition to social media, Roger Moore is a graduate of Syracuse University. He graduated from the School of Visual and Performing Arts in 2024 with a degree in film, according to the university’s student newspaper, The Daily Orange. He is also associated with Syracuse University’s Center for the Creator Economy, where he has had a huge impact on the students and creators around him.
In a deeply moving statement on Instagram following his death, Roger Moore’s family and friends spoke of his deep concern for telling stories and connecting with people. “Metronade blends his expertise in film with his passion for video games, anime, fashion, and more to showcase the highs and lows of love, work, friendship, and growing up,” they wrote.The statement explains that Moore used her own personal experiences to create the short film that could help others feel less alone. His family shared: “By creating a short film based on his own struggles, he hoped audiences would feel less alone in their own struggles. He reads many of your messages and comments and is deeply grateful that he can use his work to connect with others. “His loved ones also spoke of his faith and kindness. “He knew life was fleeting and was driven to share God’s Word with all the people in his life online and in person,” they said. The statement added that Moore believed in treating others with kindness and compassion.Before concluding their message, his family asked for privacy as they process their loss. They also revealed that Metronade still has unfinished projects and stories that he hopes to one day share with audiences.Syracuse University’s Center for the Creator Economy also paid tribute to Roger Moore in a separate post on Instagram. The center calls him an “alumnus, artist and friend” and says his creative journey has helped shape the university’s community of creators. The post described him as a man who lived by “love, compassion and a fearless creative spirit,” adding that his presence will be remembered for years to come.
