Comedian Pete Davidson is one of the participants Netflix ‘roasted Kevin HartHe finds himself in hot water after making a joke about the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
Kirk, the founder of the far-right organization “American Turning Point”, was shot and killed at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. The shooting occurred at a TPUSA event at the college, and the moment the bullet struck Kirk was captured by many spectators.
Pete Davidson mocked one attendee after another at the much-hyped Netflix live event at the Kia Forum. Los Angeles. When it was Tony Hinchcliffe’s turn to be mocked, Davidson brought up the Charlie Kirk shooting.
“Tony Hinchcliffe is here, looking both like a child molester and like the dolls they give to children to show where he touched them,” said Pete Davidson. “Tony reminded me of Charlie Kirk in that he definitely had one down his throat on camera.”
“Please kill Tony. Someone fucking kill Tony,” he continued. “Tony, nothing you say tonight is going to hurt my feelings. Me and Kanye had a feud, so I took footage from the better gay Nazis.”

Pete Davidson joke sparks backlash
The joke sparked a backlash, especially on far-right social media, which has a strong allegiance to Charlie Kirk and his organization, TPUSA, which is now run by his widow, Erica Kirk.
“Pete Davidson’s father was a New York City firefighter who was killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks,” Gina Milan wrote. “Most people would find it disgusting and cruel if someone joked about his father’s death.
“Charlie Kirk deserves the same basic human dignity. Joking about his assassination is not funny and never will be. Tragedy is not comedy.”
“Comedy has everything except this,” one said. “Charlie was murdered eight months ago and we want to know why people have become so desensitized to political violence.”
“Pete Davidson made an inappropriate joke on Charlie Kirk and then The Rock tried to get Kevin Hart to suck his nipples. Either I’m too old or I have no sense of humor because neither of those things were funny,” added another.
As of now, Erica Kirk or Turning Point USA have not responded to the joke.
