New Delhi: West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose PTI quoted Lok Bhavan officials as saying he resigned ahead of the assembly elections on Thursday.According to the official, Bose submitted his resignation in Delhi. “I have spent enough time in the governor’s office,” Bose told PTI in an interview.Bose has been serving as the Governor of West Bengal since November 2022 after being appointed by the Centre.Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said in an article in The Union Home Minister has just informed me that RN Ravi will be appointed as the Governor of West Bengal. He never consulted with me in this regard, as was established practice. These actions undermine the spirit of the Indian Constitution and undermine the very foundation of our federal structure. The Center must respect the principles of cooperative federalism and avoid taking unilateral decisions that undermine democratic conventions and the dignity of the country…”
