We stopped Operation Sindoor on our own terms, prepared for long battle: Rajnath Singh
New Delhi: Defense Minister recalls an age-old mantra “Bhay bin hoye na preet” (No fear, no love) Rajnath Singh “Operation Sindoor sends a clear global message that India is no longer bound by the old mindset of merely issuing diplomatic statements when a terror attack occurs on its soil,” it said on Thursday. Strong deterrence is crucial to peace and stability in international relations. “Addressing the ANI National Security Summit here ahead of the anniversary of Operation Sindoor on May 7, the Defense Minister described Pakistan as the epicenter of international terrorism and stressed the need to eradicate the ideological and political roots of terrorism. “Terrorism stems from a twisted mentality. People try to justify it by giving it religious overtones or linking it to violent ideologies. This is a stain on all humanity. Nowadays, India is famous all over the world for IT (Information Technology) and Pakistan is considered to be another center of IT (International Terrorism). “Rajnath’s harsh statement comes at a time when Pakistan, a hub for terror groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba and Tehreek-e-Insaf, is trying to play the role of peacemaker in US-Iran talks. “Operation Sindoor sends a clear message to the world that India is no longer bound by the old mentality of merely making diplomatic statements in case of terror attacks on its soil. This operation is a concrete manifestation of deterrence,” he said.He said: “Operation Sindoor may have been completed in only 72 hours, but I want to clarify that the preparations behind it were very long. Operation Sindoor is still ongoing. If necessary, we are fully prepared to fight a protracted war. Our reinforcement capabilities, our storage capabilities, the credibility of our indigenous weapons – all of these have become part of our deterrence today.” He added that this operation demonstrated the military strength and synergy of India’s three services.Highlighting the role of artificial intelligence in various fields, he said, “The Sudarshan Air Defense System is a massive project and a model for the application of artificial intelligence. By leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data science, our defense forces have developed a roadmap to enhance their capabilities to deal with emerging artificial intelligence challenges. This strategy will help improve their adaptability and responsiveness in the future.”During his recent visit to Germany, Rajnath said big companies across Europe are keen to partner with our private defense companies and public sector entities, calling this a testament to India’s growing credibility.
