Vivek Ramaswamy talks ‘being American’ at TPUSA event, Nikki Haley’s son calls him ‘pathetic’

Nalin Haley calls Vivek Ramaswamy pathetic after Ramaswamy gave a TPUSA speech about what it means to be an American.

Republican candidate for Ohio governor Vivek Ramaswamy Former President Ronald Reagan quoted him when talking about being an American at the Turning Point event in America, but as always, there was no shortage of backlash. Even though Ramaswamy said what Reagan once said, MAGA pundits on social media say he was wrong, and Nikki HaleySon Nalin Haley left no opportunity for Ramaswamy to troll Ramaswamy, calling him pathetic.“You can go to Italy, but you will never be an Italian. You can go to France, but you will never be a Frenchman. You can live in Germany, but you will never be a German. You can pack your bags and live the rest of your life in China or Japan, but you will never be Chinese or Japanese. However, you can come to the United States of America from any of these countries and you can still be an American—as long as you work hard, you follow the rules, you do your part, and wait for your turn, pledge allegiance to the flag, and obtain citizenship. “Social media users said this was incorrect as all the countries he mentioned grant citizenship to people after they meet the requirements.Nikki Haley’s son Nalin Haley recounts an “interesting fact” from Ramaswamy’s presidential campaign.“In the presidential campaign, when all the candidates were speaking at the same event, this man would send his staff out into the crowd to get them to applaud him because no one else would applaud him. He even made sure they were dispersed among the crowd to make the applause sound like genuine applause from the entire crowd. The more people heard him, the less they liked him. Sadly,” Haley posted.Commentator Benny Johnson said that Ramaswamy’s views as an American are “so wrong” as to why Chinese, French, Japanese, and German cultures are unique and sacred, while American culture is fungible. “These comments reveal a worldview in which the United States is merely an economic tax zone with all its resources stripped by globalists and foreign fraudsters,” Johnson said.
