SRINAGAR: The J&K police on Wednesday conducted rapid urine drug tests on drivers plying on the national highway in Kulgam district, organized an anti-drug rally at Avanti Pora in Pulwama district and held a shikkara rally at Manasbal Lake in Ganderbal as part of the 100-day ‘Nasha Mukt’ campaign jammu and kashmir Abyan”.In Handwara in Kupwara district, police conducted interactive sessions for students focusing on the physical, psychological and social consequences of drug abuse. Several awareness-raising events were organized in Baramulla.The police also destroyed “illegal poppy” crops in Sopore, Anantnag and Baramulla districts and filed several cases under the NDPS Act.
