“As a United Airlines aircraft approached the runway, the landing tires and the underside of the aircraft collided with a pole and a tractor-trailer,” according to a preliminary investigation by New Jersey State Police.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said in a statement that no one on the plane was injured and the driver of the delivery truck suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital and released.

United Airlines said in a statement that it plans to “conduct a rigorous flight safety investigation into this incident and as part of this process, our crew has been suspended.”
