UK weather forecast: Temperatures to drop across regions after bank holiday

There is a clear change in weather patterns that will see temperatures drop across all parts of the UK in the first week of May, after maximum temperatures reached around 25°C on Friday. Meteorological experts predict sunny, cloudy skies with occasional showers, cool weather and a change in wind direction that could lead to morning frost.According to the Met Office forecast report, and confirmed by BBC media reports, the change in weather patterns reflects a trend from warm and stable weather to a changeable spring. Meteorologists attribute this to changing air pressure patterns and the development of northerly winds.Frost marks the start of Scotland’s bank holiday weekend, with rain falling across northern areas as a front moves through. The weather was sunny and pleasant on other sections of the road. It will be mainly dry and sunny in Northern Ireland, while in England and Wales the fog will dissipate early and clouds will dominate. There is some sunshine in northern England and Wales, with daytime temperatures rising. The southern region will be cloudy with showers and possibly thundershowers in some areas.Cold air moving southward will bring cooler nighttime temperatures and localized ground frost, especially in rural areas. Nights in Scotland and Northern Ireland will be colder with the possibility of frost due to clear skies. There is also a chance of some winter showers over the highlands.Tuesday is expected to be cold and foggy, with sunshine and occasional showers expected across much of the north and center of the country. Wednesday is expected to be one of the coolest days of the week due to strong northerly winds, leading to cold weather and scattered showers.Thursday will be warmer as southerly winds bring milder air. However, strong winds and persistent rainfall are likely to affect Scotland, while the rest of the country will experience scattered showers during the day. The next day will bring neutral conditions with no dominant pressure system but some showers.According to weather models, there are signs that low pressure may develop over southern areas this weekend, which will favor further rainfall in areas that have received less recent rainfall.
