The southern region will be cloudy with showers and possibly thundershowers in some areas.Cold air moving southward will bring cooler nighttime temperatures and localized ground frost, especially in rural areas. Nights in Scotland and Northern Ireland will be colder with the possibility of frost due to clear skies. There is also a chance of some winter showers over the highlands.Tuesday is expected to be cold and foggy, with sunshine and occasional showers expected across much of the north and center of the country. Wednesday is expected to be one of the coolest days of the week due to strong northerly winds, leading to cold weather and scattered showers.Thursday will be warmer as southerly winds bring milder air. However, strong winds and persistent rainfall are likely to affect Scotland, while the rest of the country will experience scattered showers during the day. The next day will bring neutral conditions with no dominant pressure system but some showers.According to weather models, there are signs that low pressure may develop over southern areas this weekend, which will favor further rainfall in areas that have received less recent rainfall.
