President Donald Trump recently revealed the nickname he uses for Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr.’s former fiancée and current ambassador to Greece. The nickname drew criticism from social media users, who described it as “harsh” and “disturbing”.
This exchange took place in White House Trump and Guilfoyle appeared together at Greece’s Independence Day celebrations. Trump introduced the nickname during an interview with the media.
“I like to call her ‘Kimber-lay,’ that’s my little nickname, right?” he said, inviting Guilfoyle to stand beside him. “But you are the greatest and I hear people there love you. I hope you come back here in 12 years or at the end of the semester.”
The nickname sparked an immediate backlash online. Users on X criticized the review.
One person wrote on X: “Disgusting. I’m not a Guilfoyle fan but no one should be treated like this.”
Another added, “OMG there is no limit to his inappropriate behavior. I can’t stand to look at her or listen to her and even I think it’s a horrible thing for the president to say something like this to her.”
A third commented: “Kimber Lay? It’s not uncommon for people his age to be a dirty old man. It’s crazy that the president of the United States would say something so weird and ugly. If this man is sick, our president is sick too!”
Another wrote: “Kimberly. Exactly what you would expect from that freak. He will forever be a stain on this country.”

Kimberly Guilfoyle She was married to Democratic politician Gavin Newsom from 2001 to 2006, during which time she served as the first lady of San Francisco. Before that, she was married to businessman Eric Velenci, with whom she has a son, Ronan.
From 2018 to 2024, Guilfoyle maintained a high-profile relationship with Donald Trump Jr. The couple got engaged in 2020 but ended their engagement in late 2024.
