Dhaka: In his first letter to Bangladesh Prime Minister Tariq Rahman, US President Donald Trump urged “decisive action” to complete routine defense agreements and implement reciprocal trade deals to make US-Bangladesh relations “stronger than ever”. “I hope you will take decisive action to complete routine defense agreements so that your military has access to high-end American-made equipment – the best equipment in the world,” Trump said.“As you begin your term, I hope you will help me maintain the tremendous momentum in our trade relationship by implementing our reciprocal trade agreements, which benefit farmers and workers in both our countries,” Trump said.The president said he has full confidence in Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent Christensen.
