New Delhi: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a call from US President Donald Trump on Tuesday, during which the two leaders reviewed bilateral relations and the situation in West Asia.Prime Minister Modi posted onDuring the 40-minute call, they also discussed the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open after Trump on Sunday ordered a blockade of ships entering and leaving Iranian ports and the Gulf coast after peace talks failed over the weekend. He also warned that any Iranian attack vessel that challenged the blockade would be destroyed.At the end of the call, Trump told Prime Minister Modi, “I just want you to know that we all love you,” U.S. Ambassador to India Sergio Gore said.This is the third phone call between the two leaders this year and the first after the recent peace negotiations between Iran and the United States. Previously, they gave a speech on February 2 to announce progress in the trade agreement, and then discussed the situation in West Asia on March 24.
