Donald Trump returns to late night Post like crazy On Truth Social, the conversation reignited about his sleeping habits and whether a lack of rest is affecting his cognitive health.
After spending a record month on the social media platform, the 79-year-old president recently spent the night and into the early hours posting, according to reports. The report noted that Trump published and retweeted 861 posts on Truth Social in May alone: his highest total monthly activity on the platform to date.
Shortly after midnight Washington time, Trump resumed posting during his latest online spree. Some of the posts attacked the former president Joe Bidenpraise for upcoming UFC event at the White House, and new allegations of election interference california.
Trump claimed in a post that Democrats were trying to “steal” California’s primary through mail-in ballots, but he provided no evidence for the accusations.
The postings reportedly lasted until about 1:30 a.m.
Mirror America further reported that Trump was active on Truth Social between 9 pm and 6 am on 25 nights in April. Based on this pattern, the outlet suggested he may have had just five full nights of uninterrupted sleep this month.
Trump’s online habits are now drawing closer attention from sleep and mental health experts, especially given his age and the stress associated with the presidency.
The American “Mirror” quoted psychologist and sleep expert Dr. Ritz Birah as saying that adults in their seventies usually need seven to nine hours of sleep to maintain healthy cognitive function and emotional regulation.
“Sleep deprivation does affect attention, working memory, impulse control and decision-making,” Bila explains. She added that long-term sleep restriction can make people “more reactive” and “more prone to making errors in judgment.”
The expert also warned of the long-term effects of accumulating “sleep debt,” citing studies that show repeatedly sleeping four to six hours a night is linked to progressive cognitive decline.
Despite growing discussion around Trump’s sleep schedule, the president and his allies have consistently characterized his limited rest as a sign of endurance and energy, rather than a concern.
