President Donald Trump held a news conference in the Oval Office, ending speculation about his health and whereabouts. Some critics noted that the 79-year-old has not been seen in public for about a week. While the White House did not respond to the reports, one observer noted that Trump sounded “tired” when speaking to reporters on Wednesday.
a journalist and commentator, Aaron Rupalposted a video about Trump on social media, noting that the president was clearly “tired.”
“Folks, there are serious health issues with the President and the White House is covering it up. This man is clearly not well,” Rupal wrote on the X (formerly Twitter) platform.

Another added: “Trump sounded tired and attacked a female reporter for not smiling more.”
In his second post, Rupal was referring to Trump’s outburst at CNN’s chief White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins during an Oval Office press briefing. Speaking to reporters, he turned his attention to Collins, who was asking questions in the room. Trump called CNN “a very corrupt organization” before making some personal remarks.
“A young, beautiful woman who never smiled. I never saw a smile on her face. I saw her standing there with hatred in her eyes, like she had hatred because we had borders, because we had a strong military, because we cut taxes, because we did what everyone wanted, and then we won the election in a landslide,” he said.

Later in the briefing, Collins asked Trump about the Justice Department’s $1.8 billion weaponization fund, asking whether the program had been canceled or simply shelved. Trump first praised the project before turning to criticize Collins and major news organizations.
“People like you have mistreated our people so badly. Fake news like CNN, the New York Times and others have mistreated our people so badly. You should be ashamed of yourself. You used to be a conservative. She was a conservative from Alabama, can you believe it? But CNN in particular does this kind of false reporting, but now they have new ownership, so maybe things will be corrected, but I doubt it.”
In his speech, Trump mentioned changes involving CNN’s parent company, suggesting that new ownership could change the direction of the network. His comments appeared to reference ongoing business developments involving the Warner Bros. Discovery Channel and the broader media industry consolidation, although CNN’s ownership change has not yet been finalized.
CNN anchor Kathy Hunter addressed Trump’s comments in a television report after the Oval Office exchange.
“Caitlan did note that she is still from Alabama, even though the president seemed to suggest that she was no longer from Alabama. We applaud their professionalism.”
