This isn’t the first time visible marks on Trump’s hands have sparked discussion. Photos taken earlier this year during the World Economic Forum showed visible bruises on the backs of his hands as he attended the event in Davos, Switzerland.
At the time, White House press secretary Carolyn Levitt attributed the discoloration to a minor injury, saying Trump’s hand hit the table.
She also cited frequent handshakes and taking aspirin as contributing factors. Medical experts have previously acknowledged that aspirin, a blood thinner, may make consumers more susceptible to bruising, especially older adults.
Earlier, Trump’s doctor said Trump was in “excellent health” after a routine evaluation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
Meanwhile, Trump and other administration officials were evacuated from the Washington Hilton Hotel following the shooting during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Accused shooter identified as Cole Thomas Allenand was subsequently arrested.
