The post, intended to mimic recent rumors that Donald Trump was secretly admitted to the same hospital, immediately went viral.

Jones addressed the controversy in a video shared on Infowars and X, in which he questioned the credibility of the claims and pointed to a pattern of misinformation surrounding rumors of Trump’s death.

Sarcasm or misinformation?

Jones defended social media personality Matt Wallace, who originally posted the satirical post. The post jokingly claimed that 35 Democratic leaders were in the hospital. Walter Reed The death from a “mysterious illness” at the National Military Medical Center reflects previous unsubstantiated claims about Trump’s health.

Jones said the backlash against the content overlooked the irony of its intent.

He said: “Obviously, this is sarcasm. He [Matt Wallace] Referring to all these Democratic operatives saying Trump is down and at Walter Reed Medical Center. All because they looked at his schedule a few days ago and saw that he had done nothing. “

Jones believes the reaction highlights how quickly misinformation spreads online, especially when viewers are unable to identify satirical content.

“Everyone is attacking the people who posted the satire and acted like they didn’t know it was a joke and said it was a lie,” he said. He continued, “Apparently, they posted fake photos of 35 hospital beds with all these Democrats lying on them…It was obviously a joke.”

He backed up his argument by citing his previous video in which he dismissed conspiracy theories and rumors surrounding the Israeli prime minister’s alleged death Benjamin Netanyahu.

“I said he was alive. I was called a traitor, an Israeli agent and was attacked on a massive scale,” he said.

He further added, “I will not agree with something that I believe is untrue. Just because I say Netanyahu is alive does not mean I support warmongers… war crimes.”

Trump’s health woes and hospitalization scam

The White House announced a news hiatus at 11:08 a.m. on Saturday, saying President Trump would not appear in public that day, sparking rumors about his health.

The controversy followed a wave of online speculation about Trump’s health, growing to unsubstantiated claims that he had collapsed or been admitted to Walter Reed Hospital. No reliable news organization has confirmed these claims.

In order to curb the spread of rumors, White House Communications Director Steven Chang provided an alternative explanation for Trump’s position via X.

He wrote, “No president has ever worked harder for the American people than President Trump. Over this Easter weekend, he has been working non-stop at the White House and the Oval Office.”
