Three women whose bodies were found in the sea off Brighton Beach earlier this month have now been identified as sisters from London, police have confirmed.Jane Adetoro, 36, Christina Walters, 32, and Rebecca Walters, 31, all from the Uxbridge area, were found dead near Madera Avenue on May 13.Emergency services were called at around 5.45am following concerns about a person in the water near the Black Rock car park. Two more bodies were later found nearby.Sussex Police said there was currently no evidence of foul play or third-party involvement, but detectives were continuing to investigate to determine what exactly happened, The Guardian reported, citing police reports.Police believe the sisters may have entered the sea from the beach before getting into trouble. It is understood they were first spotted near Brighton Palace Pier before drifting towards Brighton Pier.Their father Joseph paid tribute to his daughters in a statement released by police.“Jane, Christina and Becky are more than just daughters to me; they are my joy, my strength and the light of beauty that fills our family with happiness and love,” he said.“Each of you are unique and precious in your own way. Your smile brightens dark days, your laughter brings comfort, and your presence makes life more meaningful.”“Although your time on this earth was short, the impact you made will remain in our hearts forever.”Police said they have reviewed hundreds of hours of CCTV footage while continuing to track the women’s last movements in the beach area.Chief Superintendent Adam Hays said police would “leave no stone unturned” in their investigation.Hayes said: “Everyone at Sussex Police’s thoughts are with the families of Jane, Christina and Rebecca following this devastating loss.”
