Obama responds to UFO speculation

Former President Barack Obama also responded to recent online speculation about UFOs after comments he made on his “No Lie” podcast with Brian Tyler Cohen went viral.

“They’re real, but I haven’t seen them yet,” Obama said on the podcast. “And they’re not being held in… what is that? Area 51. Unless there’s this huge conspiracy and they’re hiding it from the president of the United States, there’s no underground facility.”

Obama later explained in an Instagram post that he spoke in a lighthearted tone during a flurry of rounds. “Statistically, the universe is so vast that the likelihood of life being there is high,” he wrote.

“But the distance between solar systems is so great that the likelihood of aliens visiting us is low, and I have seen no evidence of alien contact during my time as president,” he concluded his clarification with “Really!”
