Toshiba has launched a new TV range in India, marking its entry into the MiniLED space. The Z670SP series is the first in the country to feature MiniLED display technology, front-facing speakers and a high refresh rate panel, the company said. The new models also bring the company’s REGZA-based processing and artificial intelligence capabilities to a wider range of screen sizes.

According to the company, the Toshiba Z670SP series focuses on three key areas: motion processing, sound output, and automatic image adjustment. It supports a native 144Hz refresh rate, which is suitable for users watching sports or playing games that require smoother frame transitions. Additionally, the company paired it with its REGZA Power Audio+ system, which is designed to deliver sound directly through the front-facing speakers, rather than the downward or rear outputs found in many TVs.
WHAT IS REGZA INFORMATION
Rounding out the lineup is REGZA Intelligence, an AI-powered system that adjusts image and audio settings based on the content being played. This works in real time and is designed to reduce the need for manual adjustments by the user.
The latest TVs feature MiniLED backlights, which are said to allow for better control of brightness and contrast. This may help produce darker blacks and preserve detail in lighter scenes. The panel is powered by QLED color technology, which expands the range of colors on the screen. Toshiba also supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, which combine high dynamic range visuals with multi-directional audio output.
In terms of sound, the Toshiba Z670SP series comes with front-facing speakers along with Eilex Prism technology, which is tuned to balance the audio output for regular TV viewing. The placement of the speakers is designed to project sound directly toward the audience, rather than reflecting it off surfaces.
Additionally, gaming features are also part of the product. These TVs come with Game Mode Pro, which is designed to reduce input lag and improve response times during gaming. This, combined with a 144Hz refresh rate, is aimed at users connecting to a console or gaming PC.
The latest TV range is powered by REGZA Engine ZRi. According to the company, the engine improves clarity, upscales low-resolution content, and maintains consistent performance across different types of media.
Toshiba Z670SP MiniLED series: India price and availability
The Toshiba Z670SP series will be available in five screen sizes: 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch, 85-inch and 100-inch, with prices starting at Rs. 64,990. Toshiba said the latest range of products will be sold through retail stores and online platforms such as Reliance Digital, Amazon India and Flipkart.
