TOISA 2025: From cricket to para sports, UP athletes making huge impact across categories

The Times of India Sports Awards (TOISA) is back for its eighth edition, celebrating the inspiring journeys and achievements of India’s best athletes across multiple disciplines. The much-awaited TOISA 2025 Awards Ceremony will be held in Lucknow on March 21, 2026, bringing together sports icons and emerging stars who have made the country proud in the past year.The awards will recognize athletes in more than 45 sporting categories for performance during the evaluation period from January 1 to December 31, 2025. From global championships to major international tournaments, the Indian sports world has witnessed a remarkable year filled with memorable wins and record-breaking performances.Athletes from the host country, uttar pradeshare well represented on the nomination list across multiple categories, underscoring their growing influence and success at both national and international levels.A total of 15 names have entered the TOISA 2025 nomination list based on performance in the 2025 calendar year, including 13 athletes and two coaches.The athletes were nominated in the categories of Cricket, Athletics (Track and Field), Hockey, Shooting, Kabaddi, Para Archery, Para Athletics, Para Chess and Para Coaching, showcasing the breadth of sports in Uttar Pradesh.Liked by cricketers Deepti Sharmawas named Player of the Tournament during India’s victory in the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup, and Kuldeep YadavFrom Asia Cup’s leading wicket-taker to track and field nominees Gurvir Singh, Sachin Yadav, Parul Chaudhry and Rupal Chaudhry, Uttar Pradesh’s athletes are shining on the global stage.Here is the list of Uttar Pradesh athletes and coaches nominated for TOISA 2025:cricket player of the year
