Terron de Aragua leader Nino Guerrero killed: Five things to know as Trump shares chilling video of deadly US military attack
president Donald Trump It was announced on Friday that U.S. troops had eliminated Nino Guerrero, the leader of the Tren de Aragua criminal organization, which was based in the United States Venezuela.

Trump announced the news on his social media platform Truth Social, where he also shared a chilling video showing the moment U.S. troops attacked a compound where Guerrero may have been.
“At my direction, U.S. Southern Command launched a swift and deadly kinetic strike that successfully executed Nino Guerrero, the notorious leader of Tren de Aragua, one of the bloodiest terrorist organizations on the planet,” the Republican commander-in-chief wrote.
“Before I go back to the office, Joe Biden Opening our southern border to millions of illegal criminals and allowing this foreign army to rape, maim, and murder American citizens with total impunity. During my campaign, I promised to drive these monsters out of our country and bring justice to the families of the people they slaughtered, including precious 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray, 22-year-old Laken Reilly and countless other beautiful souls,” he added, a mockery of his Democratic predecessors.

Trump further said, “With this action, the U.S. military has brought retribution to them, their families, and their loved ones. Early in my administration, I followed through on my promise to designate Troon de Aragua as a foreign terrorist organization, deport thousands of evil criminals, and wage war on the cartels who have long waged war on our citizens and weak leaders who have left the United States helpless and defensive. This action was closely coordinated with our friends in Venezuela, with whom we work well.”
The president also said, “The Tron de Aragua terrorists will no longer have safe haven in Venezuela or anywhere else, and under my leadership we will find these vicious murderers and drug lords wherever and whenever they can and send them to the depths of hell where they belong.”
Notably, Trump took action against the Tron de Aragua ringleaders after U.S. troops entered Venezuela on his orders and captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, who were then flown back to the United States to face prosecution.

Niño Guerrero: 5 things you need to know about leader Tren De Aragua
- Guerrero’s real name is Hector Rustenford Guerrero Flores.
- Guerrero was born on May 30, 1983 in Maracay, Venezuela.
- The U.S. State Department pointed out that Guerrero was imprisoned for many years in Tocolon Prison in Aragua State, Venezuela. At this time, he is believed to have expanded Tron de Aragua’s influence from “extorting prison inmates and bribing prison guards, to taking full control of Tocolon Prison, the gold mines of Bolivar State, the Caribbean Coast drug corridor, and a number of clandestine border crossings between Venezuela and Colombia,” the State Department noted.
- In 2025, Guerrero was charged with ordering, directing and facilitating acts of terrorism and violence in the United States and colluding with Cartel De Los Soles, according to a release from the Justice Department.
- Guerrero is offering a reward of up to $5 million for information leading to his arrest. A press release from the U.S. Department of Justice stated that he operated Tren De Aragua “like a transnational criminal enterprise – laundering money through cryptocurrency, trafficking large quantities of drugs, selling weapons of war, and orchestrating cross-border acts of terrorism.” The press release further states, “He ran this empire from behind bars, was sheltered by corruption, and collaborated with a drug-trafficking state cartel with the intent of dumping cocaine into the United States.”
Teron de Aragua began as a prison gang and later became a transnational criminal organization under Guerrero’s leadership. Trump has designated the gang a foreign terrorist organization and made dismantling it a national security and immigration priority, claiming they have invaded and plagued American cities.
