Evacuation orders were re-issued for parts of Orange County, California, on Friday morning after a chemical leak occurred at a facility in Garden Grove.

The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) said the evacuation area includes areas north of Garden Grove Boulevard, east of Springdale Avenue, west of Dale Street and south of Orangewood Avenue. These neighborhoods are located near Stanton.

An industrial storage tank containing flammable, toxic and self-heating materials began leaking at an aerospace-related manufacturing plant, authorities said.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the 12000 block of West Main Street in Garden Grove on Thursday around 3:40 p.m. following a report of a hazardous materials incident.

Fire officials said businesses at the site make plastic parts used in the aerospace industry.

A spokesman for GKN Aerospace told reporters: “We are currently responding to a situation at the Garden Grove facility. Emergency response protocols have been activated immediately and the area has been secured. The fire brigade and specialist hazardous materials teams are on site to assess the situation.” cbs news.

“There are no reports of injuries at this time and our top priority remains the safety of our employees, responders and the surrounding community. We will provide a verified update as soon as more information becomes available.”

Officials have not determined the cause of the leak. Firefighters said there were no reports of injuries.
