“The two leaders emphasized the importance of effectively utilizing the current window of opportunity to advance lasting and lasting regional peace,” the statement said.

Sharif thanked Erdogan for his support and encouragement to Pakistan’s peace efforts and shared with him an update on how to extend the ceasefire between Iran and the United States and resume negotiations to reach a peace agreement.

Erdogan praised Sharif’s peace efforts and said Türkiye would continue to support Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives to bring peace to the region.

While reaffirming the deep-rooted and historic brotherly ties between Pakistan and Turkey, both leaders emphasized the importance of accelerating the implementation of ongoing initiatives and exploring new opportunities to further deepen economic engagement.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Talal and other senior officials attended the meeting. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and other senior Turkish officials were also present, the statement said.

Sharif also held informal meetings with world leaders on the sidelines of a diplomatic forum in Antalya, the prime minister’s office said.

He met with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Syrian President Ahmed Sharal.

Sharif also met with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and former Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani.
