Should I hug them?” Shah told rallies in Burdwan’s Jamalpur and Howrah’s Shampur, asking the chief minister to “rein her goons”. “I asked Didi to lock her goons in the garage. We will not spare anyone if they touch our mother,” he said. “In every election, gangsters are supported TMC Disrupting the polls through violence. So at every rally I warn these hooligans of the dire consequences. I’m just issuing a warning now. As a federal minister, he cannot make such comments.” The chief minister alleged that Shah’s remarks were directed at TMC workers and claimed that the BJP’s “hardline approach” would not resonate with Bengal voters. “It’s unacceptable to say you’re hanging people upside down after the polls,” she said.
