The Fairfield Police Department said officers responded to the shooting. PARKING LOT at Fairfield High around 7:15 p.m. graduation Held at Sem Yeto High School. The suspect has not yet been identified.
Luis and Amanda Prieto, who live next to the school, told KCRA 3 they heard gunshots. Amanda said she was on the phone in her backyard when she heard gunshots.
“I quickly realized how close that rapid fire was,” Amanda said. “I looked over the fence and people were just screaming and running across the parking lot. It was terrifying.”
Lewis said the police response was swift and service patrol cars were at the scene, along with an ambulance.

“I was immediately scared, this was the third shooting I’ve witnessed at this school in the last three years,” Amanda said. “I was immediately scared. These kids weren’t even going to graduate.”
Amanda’s 17-year-old son attends Fairfield High School.
“My husband asked, ‘Do we need to pull him out of this school?'” she said. “Because there was another shooting at the beginning of the school year when school was out, and he saw it first hand as he was walking through the parking lot, and it was horrific.”
Ryan Murphy was trying to find his family when he heard gunshots nearby.
“Seeing the windshield of the car that was hit was shattered and I was just like, ‘Wow,'” Murphy said. “I froze for a second. I just saw some people start running past the car that was hit.”
Robert Dorsey, a 17-year-old graduate, saw some of the injured victims.
“The last thing I saw was him getting CPR, and then I got out of there,” he said. “I didn’t witness all four people being shot, but I did see a little girl being carried out.”

Ilana Israel Samuels, executive director of communications for the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District, said the district was aware of the shooting, ABC 10 reported.
“We are aware of a shooting that occurred following Sem Yeto High School’s graduation ceremony and are gathering details,” Samuels said in a statement. “Law enforcement is on campus and as this is an active investigation we have no additional information to share at this time. Our thoughts are with the individuals affected and we will share more details with you as soon as we have them.”
